Current River Conditions
- Tubing at Steelhead Beach: Our booth at Steelhead Beach is now open weekends and holidays until Labor Day from 9am-2pm for tubes. The trip is approx. 2 miles and taking 2.5-3 hours to finish. The regional Parks Shuttle is also running the same days we are from 9am-6pm. Get your tickets on their website. Pick up tubes at Steelhead Beach and drop them at Sunset Beach before you hop on the shuttle. Please do not leave them on the beach, we have a return area just up the path.
- Tubing at Johnson’s Beach: CLOSED FOR SEASON- Due to high winds and low flow. Available for down-river floats until Memorial Weekend. Afterward, recreational dams create a two-mile-long, lake-like area for river fun. Floating and hanging in the area is a great way to spend a day in the sun.
- Kayaks & SUPs: Head to Monte Rio while the river is dam-free for a five-mile journey (2-4 hours). Rentals must be returned by 5 PM—take your time and enjoy a picnic on the beach! *Due to some road construction between Guerneville and Monte Rio including a traffic light, kayaks will head up river only once the dam is put in at Johnson’s Beach Mid-June. With this damn in place, it creates a lake like area for easy paddling up river, call or email with any questions.
