What are the rules & Requirements for Tubes, SUPs, & Kayaks?
1. No glass or Styrofoam please!
2. All participants MUST have basic swimming skills. Life Jackets are available!
3. All participants must be prepared physically to paddle for long periods of time.
4. Due to safety, pets are not allowed on tubes but kayaks and SUPs are dog friendly!
5. Minimum age of 5 years old.
6. All Equipment rented  must be returned and undamaged, if not, the customer will be charged FULL replacement price for the item(s).
7. Please do not jump in or out of any tube and they can rip.
Why is going down river on kayaks not available after Mid-June?

Unfortunately, there is some road construction between Guerneville and Monte Rio that is causing very long delays for the shuttle vehicle. Along with extra traffic from summer time visitors, we will not be able to offer this trip during peak season. Going upriver is a beautiful experience as well. Come out and see!

Is paddling up river difficult?

With the dam at Johnson’s Beach in place, it creates a lake like environment that is easy to navigate upriver and back down. There is a deli 2 miles up river where you can dock and have lunch called Farmhand Deli. They also have box lunches that can be ordered ahead by calling 707.604.7795

What to bring?

Expect to get wet!

Wear swim wear for your journey and bring towels.
Bring good shoes for the water, water shoes or close toed sandals.
Bring drinking water.
Bring food, snacks.There are many beaches to stop at and have lunch or a quick bite.
Bring sunscreen, hats, ect to protect yourselves from sun damage.

Do I need to stick to my appointment time?

No, as long as you arrive by 1:50pm, you will get your rentals. Otherwise, a credit is given.

Will the tubes have ropes?

Absolutely, each tube should one or more clips on it to be able to attach together. Including the floating ice chests.

Do the Ice Chests float?

Yes they do! We currently intex floating ice chests, soon to be upgrading to commercial floating cooler holders that can hold personal items and ice chests.

Do Ice Chests come with ice?

No, we do not provide ice. We have convenient stores located near all of our locations.

When is the pop up open at Steelhead Beach for tubing?

Our Steelhead Beach tubing pop up is on weekends and holidays between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. Hours: 9am-2pm 

Can I float at Steelhead during the week?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own tubes and set up transportation between beaches with 2 cars or use a ride share. We also have a Pick up & Go rental available for folks who want to rent. Tubes can be picked up from our shop in downtown Guerneville. We include a pump, 1 dry bag, rope or clips to connect tubes, deflated tubes as well as floating ice chests. You will need transportation between beaches and to pick up and drop off all equipment rented at our shop in downtown Guerneville.

Where can I get ice, drinks, and food?

Speers Market is just a 2 minute drive away and has EXCELLENT deli sandwiches, drinks, and ice.
